Thank you for bringing me smiles and chuckles today with these little beauties…

Ohhhh I missed them on Facebook. Glad to see they’re still visiting. Do they have new litters each year? They are such intelligent creatures

We’ve rehabbed many raccoons, squirrels, possums, had 100’s of acres of woods behind our house. They clear cut all the trees behind our previous house. We moved about an hour away into the rural area. Still get calls now and then for babies and my wife can’t say no! I love these little guys. So curious and agile. One of two animals that can climb up head first and come down headfirst! Had a couple brother last year and were released last fall! Miss them!

Very cute, curious animals but can be very destructive. As a marine surveyor I had to inspect a boat that was hauled for the winter and had been occupied by a family of raccoons. They made such a mess that the insurance company declared it a total loss and not fit for human beings.

I love this! My trash pandas are only viewed along with the Bobcats in the camera at night. 100 acres and the forest behind our farm gives them no need to become daylight dwellers. Before the fish and game officers got involved ( it’s illegal in the state of Nevada to keep a raccoon ) my vet had one at the clinic who hung out and entertained all the animals and people n the waiting room. I loved him so much! He had his own rocking horse and would just rock and rock. He would come sit on your lap if you invited him and he loved to take your glasses off your face. Thanks for this fun read!

Haha! This is awesome! I love raccoons. A few years back I rescued a baby raccoon that had been abandoned. Couldn't keep it for more than a few days, though, and eventually turned it over to a wildlife rehabilitator.

They’re soooo cute

Two of them ambushed my dog. I watched the entire episode unfold. One got my dog to chase it, the other got my dog from behind and dug its teeth deep into his rear leg. A $150 vet visit.

I'll remain mum on how I feel about yours and only wish you well. I'm sure my coons were outliers, that they are a pleasant and dog-loving species.

Dogs and raccoons don't mix for sure!

Raccoons don't like dogs. Dogs are man's best friend. Ergo....

(Just sayin'. 😉)

We don’t have raccoons here in the UK so I love hearing about them, they sound like such cheeky, clever little opportunists, not just surviving alongside us but thriving! I’ve also experienced the bewilderment of my trainers being stolen after I left them outside to air - I guess they smelled too good for the neighbourhood foxes 😆

Thanks so much for making this post! I really, really needed to see something pleasant today, and then, serendipitously, your post came into my feed.

Raccoons are such gorgeous creatures - love the "guess who?" pic! 😁 Thanks again for the much-needed laugh

I can't believe how many pics and videos I took.

No such thing as too many raccoon photos :)

Love the photos and videos! Our only real experience with raccoons was when our deck plants were dug up and we set a webcam out there to find out what was doing it. Still have those video clips! Loved this, but surprised at how unafraid of humans they are. We only see raccoons at night and they run.
